Cause of Second Lewiston Fire Unknown 

The cause of an early-morning fire of a heavily damaged business on Holland Street in Lewiston will never be known.The State Fire Marshal’s office says there is too much damage.Lewiston Fire Chief Paul LeClair says the fire at 70 Holland St. was called in around 2:20 a.m. Wednesday as firefighters were wrapping up at the Bates Mill fire about a mile away.When firefighters arrived, heavy fire and smoke were showing from Jay’s Small Engine & Appliance. The roof collapsed preventing firefighters from entering the building.An investigator with the State Fire Marshal’s office is on scene to investigate the cause of the fire.
