The Augusta planning board will hear from the public tonight about a zoning change that could allow for a medical marijuana dispensary to open in the city.City leaders are considering expanding Augusta’s medical district along Old Belgrade Road. In that proposed zone is a building at 10 Middle Road. The company Northeast Patients Group has tagged that a possible spot for a dispensary. The city’s deputy development director says the council has discussed the zone change for the area for a couple of years – well before the idea of medical marijuana dispensary came up.That meeting starts at 7 p.m. at city hall.
