Pakistani Man Continues to be Detained in Maine 

A Pakistani man continues to be detained in Maine on an immigration violation while authorities investigate the attempted Times Square car bombing.Mohammad Shafiq Rahman was expected to appear before an immigration judge today in Boston via video link from Portland, where he’s in jail.The immigration hearing was rescheduled for August 24.Rahman, of South Portland, was one of three Pakistani men in New England charged with immigration violations, during the bombing investigation. A judge set bond for Rahman but later reversed the decision.Rahman’s lawyer has said Rahman once met Faisal Shahzad, who pleaded guilty to 10 charges in the Times Square case, but they hadn’t had contact for years.
