Lobster Festival Wraps Up 

Maine’s largest festival celebrating the state’s signature seafood is over for the year.The gates to the 63rd Annual Maine Lobster Festival in Rockland closed at 6 o’clock Sunday night. The festival draws about 100,000 visitors a year, who gobble up more than 20,000 pounds of lobster.The festival kicked off Wednesday featuring music, a parade, craft shows, cooking contests and much more. Sunday the popular Great International William Atwood Lobster Crate Race took place. During that race competitors run across lobster crates that are floating in the water.
