Yesterday the Maine football team reported to training camp and moved back into the dorms. This afternoon in Orono, the Black Bears went through their first practice. The guys aren’t in full-pads yet, just helmets, but perfect weather this afternoon to kick off camp. We’re four weeks away from Maine’s first game of the year, a battle in Orono against Albany on September 2nd. Everybody is itching to get back on the field but no one is more excited than junior running back Jared Turcotte. The Lewiston native missed all of last season due to injury. He’s already been named a Preseason Second Team All-American by Consensus Draft Services. For Turcotte, today hopes to be the start of another great season.
