Butler Convicted on Meth Charge 

A 50-year-old Northern Maine man is going to prison for 12½ years for selling methamphetamine.Wade Butler, of Fort Fairfield, was sentenced Thursday in U.S. District Court in Bangor.Butler was arrested last fall after 37-year-old Anthony Black of New Brunswick was caught crossing the border into Maine with more than 2,100 methamphetamine and 82 oxycodone pills hidden in his pickup truck. Black then led investigators to Butler’s house, where they found 1,000 methamphetamine pills and $14,000 in cash.Butler pleaded guilty to drug charges in March.Black was sentenced in June to 3 years, 7 months in prison after pleading guilty to a drug conspiracy charge.
