Hurricane Response Simulation to Take Place in Bangor 

If you see or hear large aircraft and vehicles in Bangor this weekend, there’s no need to be concerned. The US Air Force Auxiliary Civil Air Patrol is exercising its ability to respond to a simulated large, dangerous hurricane.CAP units throughout the northeastern United States are participating, with dozens of aircraft and ground vehicles involved.The activities will be at the Bangor Air National Guard Base on Saturday, where crews will prepare for any rescue and recovery missions that may be assigned by State or Federal authorities in the aftermath of the simulated storm.
