House Fire in Bangor 

A section of Essex Street in Bangor was shut down late Friday afternoon due to a house fire.The Bangor Fire Department received the call just after 4 o’clock of a fully involved structure fire.When crews arrived smoke and flames were coming from the apartment home. “Upon our arrival we had fire on the outside of the building on three levels, and fire on the second floor as well, inside,” said Darrel Cyr, Assistant Fire Chief with the Bangor Fire Department.No one was inside at the time of the blaze. There is significant damage to one apartment and some smoke and water damage throughout the rest of the building.The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.The State Fire Marshal’s Office has been called in to investigate.
