A man from Old Town accused of ramming his car into a police cruiser has been indicted by a Grand Jury in Penobscot County.Old Town Police say 31-year old Erick Gilman was speeding on Gilman Falls Avenue earlier this month. Police say when they tried to stop him, he sped off. Authorities say Gilman intentionally crossed into the oncoming lane at the intersection of Stillwater Avenue and Brunswick Street and crashed into a patrol car driven by Officer Jaime Slauenwhite. Neither was seriously hurt. Gilman is charged with aggravated assault, reckless conduct, criminal OUI, failure to stop for an officer, and driving to endanger.And a man from Bangor facing drug charges was also indicted by a Grand Jury.Officials say while police were at a Cedar Street residence investigating a loud party back in May, they made some observations that led them to request a search warrant. Police say they found more than 550 grams of marijuana, almost 350 ecstasy pills, and more than $5,000 in cash.Police arrested 19-year old Shri Kant of Bangor and charged him with aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs, and allowing a minor to possess or consume liquor.
