A former College of the Atlantic student will do 200-hours of community service after pleaded guilty to raiding dorm rooms and stealing from other students. 21-year-old Olivia Pell was given a nine-month jail sentence last week. The time was suspended, though, in exchange for working for the Rhode Island SPCA. The Hancock County assistant district attorney says in September of 2007, Pell and her then-boyfriend, Bruce Gustafson, went through dorm rooms at the Bar Harbor college. They took a variety of electronic equipment, money and credit cards. Gustafson previously pleaded guilty. He’s serving time in the Maine State Prison.
