Early Morning Fire at Concrete Company in North Anson 

Fire Investigators say a fire in North Anson early this morning was likely an accident. Investiators say they can’t pinpoint the exact cause of the fire, due to the extent of the damage, however. According to authorities, the Mattingly Products Company on Route 201-A in North Anson caught fire at around 3 o’clock Friday morning.When fire crews arrived on the scene, the concrete producer was already fully engulfed in flames.Fire fighters from Anson, Madison, Solon, Bingham, Skowhegan, and Starks were still on the scene mopping up some hot spots at around 6:30 Friday morning.Fire officials say that the damage was mostly contained to the offices. “On our arrival, and when I arrived, the small building on the side was fully involved, and within minutes we had smoke coming out under the eaves of the main plant,” Said Anson’s Fire Chief, Alan Walker.We’re told that no one was injured in the fire.
