The head of the company that resurrected an Old Town mill, was in town today and hinted that they might be bringing more jobs to Maine.Patriarch Partners CEO Lynn Tilton toured the Old Town Fuel and Fiber mill this afternoon then she enjoyed a cookout with workers.Rumors have been swirling that Patriarch might buy the Katahdin Paper Company in East Millinocket. This afternoon Tilton confirmed that they’re considering it. “So we are looking at it. We’ve got a lot of work to do in that we don’t believe that the mills on their own as they are with the same products can be profitable at this point in time. So what we’re trying to do is piece the puzzle together. If we’re able to convert the machinery, if we’re able to enter in to new product lines, what will it cost us and will we be able to make it work, so we’re looking but no guarantees,” she said.Patriarch Partners owns 74 companies nationwide. They put 200 people back to work when they took over the Old Town mill in October 2008.
