Knox County Severe Weather 

Heavy rains have closed sections of roadway due to flooding and washouts. According to officials, several sections of roadway have had the dirt eroded from underneath, leaving the pavement deceptively intact. Drivers are urged to use caution.As of 4 o’clock Thursday morning, three structure fires have been reported as a result of lightning strikes on residences. One in Owl’s Head, one on North Haven, and a chimney was blown apart on a home in Rockland. No injuries have been reported.Authorities urge caution on the roadways throughout Knox County.
