Hockey season is not too far away. Only 75 days until the first Maine home game, but this week a couple of the Black Bears are back in Orono teaching hockey at Maine’s youth camp.Today it was forward Joey Diamond and defenseman Mike Cornell on the ice at the Alfond. Twice a day the kids are on the ice doing drills and learning the ins and outs of hockey. The age ranges from ten year olds to sophomore’s in high school. Kids from as afar away as Tennessee are in Orono for the camp and for the Black Bears, it’s a joy to get back on the ice and to help teach the next crop of hockey stars.
