Pittsfield Police Warn About Home Break-ins

Pittsfield police are sending out a word of warning after three home burglaries in the last week. Officer Marty Cochran says two homes were hit last Wednesday and Thursday – another was broken into yesterday. All of the homes were on the edge of town and were burglarized in the middle of the day when no one was home. Cochran says he’s concerned the thief or thieves could break into a home that appears empty, then find someone inside. Police are urging neighbors to keep their windows and doors locked and check on older people or kids who may be home alone. If you see anything suspicious or have any information on the burglaries, call Pittsfield police at 487-3101 or dial 911.
