Updated 4 years ago

Meanwhile at Hampden Country Club, an imitation “British Open” public tournament to celebrate the course being in business for 50 years. Players donned kilts and knickers. Even bag pipes serenaded the golfers. There was a hole in one competition on the 6th. A hole in one got you a trip to Saint Andrews. Nobody won but a few were close. The club’s owners Elmer and Leroy Gamble played together. Leroy, even at 84 years old, still knocking down putts. Russell Gamble took the championship shooting a 33.
