Bail Set for Man Accused of Standoff in Bangor 

A man accused of threatening to shoot people during a standoff with Bangor police is back in the Penobscot County Jail after a bail hearing today. 44-year-old Donald Michaud is charged with two counts of terrorizing. He was also cited for creating a police standoff. Police say they received several phone calls around 9 Wednesday night, of shots being fired from a home on Center Street.Officers called Michaud and say he started making threats about shooting people, including police. We’re told tear gas was eventually thrown into the apartment and Michaud surrendered about four-and-a-half hours later. A judge set bail for Michaud today at $1,000 cash or $10,000 worth of property.He also has arrest warrants out of Aroostook County.
