Hampden Legion Beats Bangor

Tim Throckmorton

It is the last regular season game and the last chance for the Hampden American legion team to make the playoffs. The tough part is that they would have to beat Bangor and the Comrads have just one loss on the season.Hampden with a win over 2nd seed Brewer on Saturday, and they were out clawing again today.A runner on third and Bangor catcher Dylan Morris has his throw go off Justin Rogerson, it caroms into left field and Rogerson scores.Hampden took advantage of opportunities early and Jared Seamans went the distance throwing 117 pitches.Solid defense here by Nolan Turner making the nice bare handed play to first.Hampden led 2-0 until the 9th when they added four more, everything falls into place for Hampden on the final weekend.Hampden moves into the playoffs with a 6-0 shutout of Bangor.
