Arrest Made in Connection with Brownfield Shooting 

Police have arrested a man in connection with a shooting in the town of Brownfield, that’s just south of Fryeburg.The Oxford County Sheriff says someone called 911 around 4:20 Saturday afternoon and said someone had been shot in a yard on Moore Road.The sheriff says when police arrived, they found a 38-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his leg and arm.He was taken to Bridgton Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.Police then started searching for a suspect.Just before 9 o’clock Saturday night, a state police tactical team spotted him coming out of the woods and took him into custody.42-year-old Keith Brain, who also lives on Moore Road in Brownfield, is charged with elevated aggravated assault and is being held at the Oxford County Jail.Police are still at the scene tonight investigating, but the sheriff says it appears Brain and his family were trying to help the victim with some domestic problems when they got into some sort of confrontation and shots were fired.
