The top 40 players from the first two days will advance to tomorrows final round of the Maine Amateur Golf Tournament. Yesterday, there were just two rounds played under par. Johnny Hayes the fourth slipped a bit too with a 75 today.First round leader, Jason Gall of Augusta stays in the thick of things. A nice putt on the 9th. He settles for par after a 74 today. He’s now in 2nd.15 year old Seth Sweet of Madison putts out on number 7. A 73 today has him tied with Gall at 141.Ryan Gay moves into the lead. He drives on ten. A 68 today and the tournament leader by one.One more round to play and Joe Manganaro will be there. He’s 8 shots off the pace but after his chip in on number 17 he’s loving playing in the event. Today he shot a 73.
