Housing Programs to Receive Grant Money 

Housing programs in Maine will receive nearly $1.5 million from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through its Continuum of Care Homeless Assistance grant program.Senators Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins announced the funding.The grants will be used for a range of assistance to homeless persons, including transition housing, permanent housing, and a variety of supportive services.The money will be distributed between Community Housing of Maine, Kennebec Behavioral Health, and the Maine Department of Health and Human Services.
