Kevin Harvick’s #29 Shell Car Stops By Bangor

Kevin Harvick is currently the leader in the Sprint Cup standings despite only winning one race so far this year. He credits the great work of his car and crew for his consistently good finishes.Recently at the Shell Gas Station on Main Street in Bangor, one of his Shell #29 cars stopped by so that fans could get up close and personal with the car. Harvick wasn’t there but he has had success in Maine. Back in 2008, he won the TD Bank 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway. For his handler Harry Garbart, it’s not as easy as it seems taking Kevin Harvick’s car around the country.Harry Garbart – Richard Childress Racing”Sometimes, the show car is completely dismantled and we have to physically build the car back from the ground up. It will be the body and the frame, no engine, no transmission, no nothing. We’ll have to put everything back in the car, put the car back to 100% authentic, race ready status, and then we take the cars around the country and show them.”
