Accident in Holden 

An accident in Holden this afternoon sent three to the hospital.It happened near 527 Main Road, that’s near Charles Drive. Main Road is also Route 1-A.It happened around 4:00 this afternoon.Officials say a Toyota Corolla, from out of state, was hit from behind by a pick-up truck. The drivers have not been identified.”There were two people pinned in the toyota corolla. They were extricated by Brewer Fire Department and they were transported by Capital Ambulance and G & H Ambulance,” explains SGT. Eugene Fizell with the Holden Police Dept. The two people trapped in the Corolla and the driver of the pick-up were taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center.Fizell says the two in the Corolla were in serious condition.The accident backed up traffic for about an hour and a half, all the way onto I-395.Fizell says, at this time, distracted driving seems to have caused the crash.
