CMP Outage Affects Thousands 

Power is out for several towns in Central Maine today, affecting thousands of Central Maine Power customers. Gail Rice with CMP says there was a momentary glitch at the Detroit substation, causing a power loss to several towns in Somerset and Penobscot counties.The outages affected customers in nearly 20 towns, including Newport, Pittsfield, and Hermon.CMP is working on the issue, and says power will be restored as soon as possible.
