Cut-A-Thon for Camp CaPella

Folks got their hair cut for a good cause Sunday in Bangor.Studio 2000 at the Bangor Mall hosted a Cut-A-Thon with all proceeds, including hair dressers tips, going to Camp CaPella in Dedham. Each summer, the camp hosts kids with special needs, but it costs $196,000 each year to keep the camp running.Camp CaPella relies on money that comes from the community.Studio 2000 offered womens cuts for $15, men and kids for $10.You could also receive a 10 minute massage for $10.Prizes were also raffled off from local businesses. The salon has been planning the fundraiser since January, and hopes to raise $1,000.”If we can raise more that we can send a couple of campers to camp, I think that would be great. I think it’s a little over $1200 to send one camper to camp, so whatever we do would be great,” said Stacie Durost, owner of Studio 2000.
