Whig and Courier going up for Auction 

After struggling with financial problems and a few attempts to secure financial help, the Whig and Courier pub in Bangor will be going up for auction.Christopher Geaghan has owned the downtown pub since 1997. Last month, the Whig’s website stated that it would be closing its doors.Since then, Geaghan has tried to negotiate with the city and a local bank for financial assistance.Keenan Auction Company is now listing the pub on its website. The property is described as having a dining area and kitchen, with 4 apartments.The property goes up for auction on July 21st.
