Maine Pesticide Registry Proposed

The Maine Board of Pesticides Control is looking for input as they develop a new pesticide registry. The board has been ordered by state lawmakers to compile a list of people who want advance notice for outdoor pesticide applications. And they’re having a public meeting to talk about how that should be done. It’ll cover what types of pesticides and equipment should be included, as well as the feasibility of posting signs on private property, or developing an automated notification system online. The meetings will be held Thursday, June 24th at 7 pm, and Friday at 9:30 am at the University of Maine at Machias’ Sennett Hall, that’s located at 34 Downeast Drive, in the Clipper Lounge.
