Former Maine Goalie Up for NHL’s Calder Trophy 

In Las Vegas tonight, the NHL, giving out its annual awards. Nobody from the Bruins are a finalist for any honor this year but one former Maine goalie is up for an award.Jimmy Howard, in the running for the clader trophy as the NHL’s top rookie. He finished as a finalist and came up short. Tyler Myers of the Buffalo Sabres took home the award. This past season, Howard helped lead the Detroit Red Wings to the fifth seed in the Western Conference Playoffs. The former Black Bear went 37-15-10 and had the fourth best save percentage in the NHL.
