A man from Augusta accused of raping a woman in Camden remains behind bars after making his first court appearance today. 44-year-old Bradley Lemay is charged with gross sexual assault and burglary. He was just released from prison in February after serving 21 years for kidnapping and gross sexual misconduct. Police started search for Lemay early yesterday morning when a woman told police Lemay sexually assaulted her and threatened her with a knife. When Lemay realized police were after him, they say he drove through several towns to try to get away. Spike mats finally stopped him in Rockland. Lemay’s being held in the Knox County Jail on 500-thousand dollars cash bail.
