Colby College Hosts Regional Team Tennis Finals

High school tennis regional finals played today at Colby College in Waterville. The Camden Hills boys defeated John Bapst three to two. The Caribou girls beat Camden Hills though four to one.The Class C Championship matches. Both George Stevens Academy teams involved. Actually the same four teams as the finals last year with the Dexter girls and the Madawaska boys. Rain pushed them inside last year.Boys number one singles, in the blue its Nathan Beaulieu with the nice passing shot on Johnny Xue. Beaulieu wins 6-1, 6-2.Third doubles, Max Reiter in the far court from gsa beats Matt Deschenes 6-1, 6-1. GSA wins the regional title taking four of the five matches.In girls play, GSA’s Hannah Van Der Eb with the service winner. She and first doubles teammate Caroline Altman win 6-3, 6-3.And in the number one singles, its Grace Jackson in the near court. She wins the first set 6-1 but Dexter’s Crissy Mountain wins the next two 6-2, 6-4.Dexter wins the regional title taking three of the five matches. And in Class A, the Lewiston boys and girls are both champions.
