The annual pink softball game was played on Monday. Central high against John Bapst. Two high school softball teams dressed in pink and for a good cause. It’s the 2nd annual charity game for cancer awareness. There is quite a bit of meaning for this years game. In the last two months both Central high school and John Bapst have both felt losses from cancer.Peter Stevens, the father of one of the central players, died recently from brain cancer. His daughter Charlotte threw out the first pitch. And John Bapst teacher Fred Jones passed away just weeks ago.The proceeds from todays game will go to the Kay Yeo cancer foundation. They raised nearly 800 dollars last year, they hope to do even better this year.
