Maine Documentarian Detained in Israeli Raid 

The girlfriend of a Maine filmmaker says he is among those detained by the Israeli military after the ship he was on was stopped by commandos as it challenged Israel’s blockade of the Gaza Strip.29-year-old Scott Hamann of South Portland was documenting the mission to Gaza aboard a ship that was part of a flotilla that commandos attacked Monday, leaving nine pro-Palestinian activists dead.Hamann’s girlfriend, Charlotte Stuart says she got a call from the State Department saying Hamann was being held at a detention center and will be deported. On Wednesday morning, 124 of those being detained in Israel were deported to neighboring Jordan.Stuart says the State Department told her Hamann was complaining about a toe injury, but was otherwise fine.The flotilla tried to bring supplies to Gaza, which Israel has blockaded for thee years.
