Massachusetts Man Conviction Upheld 

Maine’s highest court has upheld the conviction of a Massachusetts man in connection with a deadly accident on Rt. 27 in New Vineyard.Domingos Medeiros was sentenced to 90 days in jail for leaving the scene of an accident.In January 2008, Medieros was driving a truck hitched up to a trailer.A load of lumber fell from the trailer, striking another vehicle and killing a man from New Portland.Medeiros claimed there was insufficient evidence to prove he knew he was in an accident.The Maine supreme court has rejected that claim.
