SAD 37 Budget to Go to Voters in June 

A plan to cut next year’s school budget in SAD 37 by more than half-a-million dollars will now go before voters throughout the district. The proposed budget would also cut eight jobs. Folks attending a board of directors meeting in Harrington last night approved the $7.8 million plan.It’s now set for a district-wide vote June 8th. Superintendent David Beal says the budget is nearly $585,000 dollars less than the current one because of a drop in state funding. He says the plan cuts five teachers and one ed tech.Two other teaching jobs would be eliminated through retirement.
