Bangor PD Stepping Up Patrols at Parks 

Bangor Police say they’re stepping up patrols at local parks, in response to complaints about illegal conduct.Officials say they’ve heard about people being loud and disorderly after park hours, trespassing of motor vehicles, and lewd and illegal conduct in and near parks.Starting immediately, Bangor Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team will be focusing their efforts on 30 parks and public areas, including: Hayford’s Park, Bangor Gardens Playground, Broadway Park, Coe Park, Chapin Park, Dakin Park, Davenport Park, Fairmount Park, Grotto Cascade Park, Hayford’s Field, Little City Park, J.J. Williams Park, Norumbega Mall, Pickering Square Park, Piece Park, Prentiss Woods, Second Street Playground, Summit Park, Essex Street Recreation Area, Penjajawoc Park, Stillwater Park Playground, Broad Street Park, Fountain Park, West Market Square, Bass Park (Paul Bunyan Area), Union Street Recreational Area, Brown Woods, City Forest Preserve, Gomez Monument Area (Broad Street), and Kenduskeag Stream Park.They say they’ll issue violations as necessary, ranging from littering to criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct.
