Youth Concerts at BSO 

More than 2000 students from across the state got to listen to some great music Monday.The Bangor Symphony Orchestra held their Youth Concerts at the Collins Center for the Arts in Orono.They performed their season finale, Rachmaninoff Goes Green.Young people came from as far away as New Sweden to see the concert.Guest Conductor, David Itkin points out that for some this was their first chance to see a live orchestra. “There’s nothing like seeing great music played live by a real orchestra to get people excited about real music.”The orchestra also had some young guest musicians who won the chance to play with the orchestra, like high school Senior Kristen Dillon.She hopes her performance will inspire some future musicians in the audience.
