Arthritis Walk

Folks were hitting the pavement in Bangor Saturday, to help the Arthritis Foundation.Walkers started down by Sea Dog and walked the waterfront and then made their way up Main Street.Organizers of the event say it has grown every year. And they’re happy to be able to get the word out. They say a big misconception folks have about arthritis is that only old people are affected. But there are actually 300,000 kids who are currently affected by arthritis.” It gets the awareness out there of what the foundation is trying to do. And getting more people involved and getting them talking about arthritis and how it affects people. There are 46 million people in the United States that it affects.”For more information on the Arthritis Foundation of northern and southern New England you can call the chapter at 1-800-639-2113.
