Derek Stansberry Released on Bail 

A man from Florida accused of causing a flight to be diverted to bangor is now free on bail.27-year-old Derek Stansberry appeared in Federal Court in Bangor Friday afternoon.He posted the 20-thousand dollar bail, and left the courthouse.As part of Stansberry’s bail conditions, he must live at his girlfriend’s parent’s house in Pennsylvania while he awaits trial.Stansberry must also wear an electronic monitoring device and undergo a psychological exam.Prosecutors say last month, Stansberry passed a note on the flight from Paris to Atlanta that said he had a fake passport and he told air marshals he had dynamite, that wasn’t the case. The Air Force veteran was working for a defense contractor in Africa.
