Benefit Super to Support Searsmont Man 

Here’s an update on a story about a Searsmont man who slipped on ice at the Belfast Curling Club in February and broke his neck.Doctors told Nick Defrancesco it was unlikely he would ever walk again. But he plans to prove them wrong.Defrancesco is currently at a hospital in Connecticut.We’re told his halo has been removed and that he continues to make progress.A benefit pasta dinner is being held Friday night to help the family with their expenses.It’s at the Tarratine Hall in Belfast at 153 Main Street.The dinner is from 5 until 8pm. There will be a silent auction too.It’s six dollars per person, or twenty bucks for the whole family.
