It’s been four years since the UMaine softball team has hosted the conference tournament. This year they got a bit lucky when top seed Boston University declined because of graduation at the school. So four teams will start play in the event tomorrow in Orono. The Black Bears were on Kessock Field this afternoon going through a final practice before the tourney begins. Maine plays Stony Brook at 3:30 tomorrow.Today, five Black Bears were named All-Conference. Terren Hall and Alexis Soulharis to the first team and Ashley Kelley to the 2nd team. The players are happy to be at home.
