It’s a trust building adventure program with different levels. This is the first season the course has been open behind the Acadia Hospital in Bangor, and soon it will be offered to the public, when the Adventure Day Camp begins this summer. The 45 foot poles were donated by Bangor Hydro. The staff has been training for weeks on this equipment, and as they go through the ropes, they’re experiencing the same fears and accomplishments they expect campers will feel. Week long summer camps will be offered by age group. Kids 12 to 14 during week 1, 15 to 16 week 2, and 17 to 18 for week 3. The programs are designed to engage youth and nourish skills like trust, working together, and personal growth.
