Hylton Takes the Stand in Fortune Trial 

The foster brother of a man on trial for attempted murder, took the stand in Skowhegan Monday, but said very little.19-year-old Leo Hylton testified as a defense witness for 22-year-old Daniel Fortune.The two are accused of breaking in to a Pittston home and wounding a father and daughter with a machete two years ago.When asked repeatedly about the attack, Hylton simply said, he could not recall what happened.Fortune’s attorney claims Hylton is responsible for the attack that left William Guerrette and his daughter permanently injured.Hylton has already pleaded guilty for his role, and has been sentenced to 50 years in prison.
