Lagrange Man Facing 90 Years for Theft 

A Lagrange man could face up to 90 years in jail and a more than $2,000,000 fine.69-year-old Robert J. Venti was convicted on nine counts of theft of government money.The prosecution says Venti forged his deceased father’s name in order to continue collecting his Civil Service retirement benefits.Investigators say Venti collected his father’s benefits from January 1991 all the way until November of 2005.It adds up to more than $30,000.Venti was released on bond pending sentence.
