CMP Agrees to Expansion Scale-Back

Central Maine Power has agreed to scale back its proposed upgrade of the power grid with an eye toward getting work under way this summer.Documents filed with the Maine Public Utilities Commission indicate CMP agreed in principle to a plan that’ll cost less than the original projection of $1,500,000,000.The biggest part of the project would double high-voltage capacity from Orrington to New Hampshire by building a second line.
