Penobscot Narrows Observatory and Fort Knox Open Saturday

Starting tomorrow, folks can, once again, get a spectacular view of Eastern Maine – and beyond. The Penobscot Narrows Observatory in Prospect opens to the public at 9 o’clock, along with Fort Knox, right next door.Visitors who take the one-minute ride to the top of the observatory get a 360-degree view of the Penobscot River Valley. We’re told the Observatory is the only one if its kind in the Western Hemisphere. Admission to the Observatory is 5-dollars and that’ll let you in to Fort Knox, too.
