Maine Mourns the Passing of an American Logger 

A local woodsman featured on Discovery Channel’s “American Loggers” program has died.David McLaughlin of Milo suffered from a severe diabetic condition.He was diagnosed at age 14.It was a disease that would sideline McLaughlin from time to time according to Rudy Pelletier, co-owner of Gerald Pelletier Incorporated of Millinocket.Some said his humor helped him through. And it showed through on TV’s “American Loggers” which focuses on the Pelletier family’s logging operations.David McLaughlin died Friday night. He was 45.
