The Multiple Sclerosis Society will be hosting walks this weekend to raise money for research and the cure. Ten walks have been set up in locations throughout the state of Maine. MS is a disabling disease of the central nervous system. One of the walks was held at the Brewer Auditorium. Walkers and volunteers were out walking contributing to a worthwhile cause that has a special relevance for the state of Maine. Each year, thousands of clients, loved ones, caregivers, friends, neighbors and co-workers across the state join the movement. Each walker is encouraged to raise at least $100, but most surpass that goal.
