Owner of Jordan’s Snack Bar in Ellsworth Dies

Catherine Pegram

The owner of a popular eatery in Ellsworth had died. Jimmy Jordan ran Jordan’s Snack Bar on Route 1 for more than 25 years. He died yesterday of a heart attack. Local reports say he was 64. Employees tell us they considered closing the snack bar for the weekend but decided to stay open because they say that’s what Jordan would have wanted. They do plan to shut the doors for at least a couple of days next week. Jordan is survived by his wife, Carol, two sons and their families. Funeral arrangements have not been announced.
