Ireland Trip Extended

A group of students from the River School in Belfast is making the most of an adventure overseas.Their school trip to Ireland got extended by a few days because of the volcanic activity in Iceland.Three high school students and the director of the River School were on a nine-day culture and history trip in Ireland as part of their course work. They were supposed to return today.Since flights were grounded because of a large volcanic ash cloud, now they might not make it back until Saturday.Nora McGrath with the River School says the students are safe and were able to find a place to stay, and while they’re trying to conserve cash, they are hoping to enjoy their extended stay.Today, the group was hoping to add the National History Museum, the National Gallery and a Guiness plant tour to their trip.
