Waterman Appeals Sentence 

A Sumner man sentenced to life in prison for double murder, is appealing his conviction.Lawyers for 34-year-old Duane Waterman took their case to the Maine Supreme Court on Wednesday.Waterman was found guilty last year for the murders of 43-year-old Todd Smith and 50-year-old Timothy Mayberry in July 2008 in West Paris.Waterman says the evidence against him was insufficient for a conviction and that his sentence was unfairly decided.No ruling has been made.
